Before his retirement in 2018, A. Morrie Craig, who holds doctor of philosophy in biophysics, was a professor and researcher at Oregon State University (Oregon State) in Corvallis, Oregon. During his time there, Dr. Morrie Craig participated in research for agricultural and veterinary toxicology.
The veterinary program at Oregon State offers undergraduate students, doctoral candidates, and professionals a number of opportunities to engage in research. The Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine is committed to carrying out the most challenging research in an effort to solve health problems faced by both humans and animals.
The specific areas of focus include animal diseases from the perspective of looking at pathogenesis (disease origin), diagnosis, and treatment. Through this research, researchers have the opportunity to collaborate with professionals from various colleges on campus as well as other academic and research institutions.
In addition to these benefits, researchers have the opportunity to learn from, and engage with, veterinary scientists trained in comparative biology. These professionals draw from physical sciences, biosciences, social sciences, and engineering to study and solve some of the most complex problems in veterinary science.
