Based in Oregon, Dr. A. Morrie Craig has over four decades of experience as a lead researcher in biophysics and toxicology as well as a professor and service laboratory administrator at Oregon State University. Dr. Morrie Craig maintains an active membership in various professional organizations including the Oregon Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA) in which he was given a lifetime membership in appreciation for his research efforts.
The Oregon Veterinary Medical Association advocates for the interest of its members who share the common goal of protecting animals. Guided by its mission, OVMA offers comprehensive resources and hosts nationwide events, including the Oregon Veterinary Conference.
An annual event, the next Oregon Veterinary Conference will take place on March 6-8, 2020 at the CH2M Hill Alumni Center & LaSells Stewart Center. The conference will focus on various topics such as animal health, diseases, and integrative therapy. OVMA has invited leading veterinary professionals including Dr. Cheryl Hedlund, who specializes in soft tissue surgery, and Dr. Leah Cohn, who will discuss respiratory diseases in companion animals. In addition to the learning sessions, the conference will feature a silent auction to raise funds for the Animal Health Foundation of Oregon. OVMA will also announce the winners of the Oregon Animal Hall of Fame Awards.
